Mooney Pilots and Owners Association"
EMPOA
Hello Mooniacs,
I would like to welcome you the the website
of the European Mooney Pilots and Owners
Association (EMPOA). We are very sorry,
that most of our website is still in german,
although we claim to be European. I´d like to
ask for you understanding as the EMPOA grew out
of a german speaking Mooney community and this
is where most of the content still comes from.
But we have this issue at position number one of
our TODO-list and we hope to present you a
multi-language version of this website soon.
Anyways every european Mooniac is already
greatly welcome to
join our association and of
course all
events and offers (such as
the
Mooney group insurance) are
already available for every member. If you might
not understand everything or have any questions,
please don´t hesitate to write us an email. You
will find the appropiate contact person on our
EMPOA organisation page.
I wish all of you many happy landings and

13/14 Feb. 2010 EMPOA meeting en alemania Memmingen
todos los Mooniacs de España estan invitados
Dear Mooniacs,
first of all, I wish all of you a
happy new year 2010 with a lot of exciting and
interesting flights and of course no worries for you and
your Mooney. At the end of the last year, our
French Mooniacs Jacques and Gilles suggested to have a
meeting within the directors board to discuss some
future activities of the EMPOA, inform each other about upcoming
activities and share some ideas.
We thought, this is an excellent
idea and therefore would like to invite everybody of
you, who is interested to join this meeting, as all of
you have a special function within the director´s board
of the EMPOA.
As there is a lot of carnival
going on in southern Germany in the first quarter of the
year, it is not easy to find a somehow silent place. But
maybe it might be interesting for some of you to see
this kind of festival.
So we decided to meet on 13./14.
February 2010 in Memmingen. The corresponding Airport is
EDJA, which is a former military airport with a lot of
space and all necessary IFR equipment. Anyone who does not want to come
with his plane can also book Ryainair, that also flies
to Memmingen from several places.
We would like to meet at the Hotel
"Weisses Ross" in Memmingen. The complete address is as
follows:

I would suggest going there by taxi
as it is only a few kilometers away from the airport.I reserved some rooms for us, which you can book
with the keyword "EMPOA", to receive a special rate. A single
room will be 68,-€ and a double room 98,-€ including
breakfast.
As some people might only come for
one day, we want to do our main discussion on Saturday
from 11h-16h LOC. So there should be enough time to
arrive and depart before and after this time. Of course
everybody is invited to stay longer or arrive earlier.
We will of course continue our discussions and do some
concrete plannings of the EMPOA activities in 2010 at
the evening and the next morning as well. I will
probably already arrive on Friday evening and it would
be nice to meet some of you guys then already. I would
suggest everyone who wants to arrive on Saturday morning
to arrive at Memmingen Airport at 10h LOC latest, so
that we can all go together with some taxis to the hotel
at 10:30h.If
